When the South Gwinnett High School Band of Stars needed a custom tee shirt design for their 2001 show "Channel 1 Suite", featuring the music of Chick Corea and Buddy Rich, we responded with a snappy design combining pictures of the 2 legendary jazz giants.

The 2002 Band of Stars show featured a medley of "Star Spangled Overture", "Appalachian Spring", "Chester", and "Piano Concerto No.2". To the left is our alternate design, the favorite of the designer but NOT the one picked for the final printing!

The same requirements as above. This design featured other symbols frequently associated with America and was the final pick of the band booster club.

Here the theme is "Shades of Blue" and we mixed a night sky with the distinctive skyline of Snellville, Georgia in silhouette. The crossword puzzle features the names of the selections ACROSS and different shades of blue DOWN. The clues ACROSS feature the names of the composers and the clues DOWN all say a "Shade of Blue." The football team is the COMETS and one can be seen streaking across the sky.

Here the theme is 24 Hours In A Day featuring "Rush Hour", "Afternoon Daydreams", and "Night Life." We divided the skyline of Atlanta into 3 distinctly different times of day.

The music features compositions of famed trumpeter Don Ellis, known for his unique 4 valve trumpet.

The most complex design yet, filled with little "hidden" tricks. The name of the show is "Six Shades Blue", which can be seen highlighted by the lamp on the left. The composers are featured in the light on the right and the names of the various compositions are "hidden" among the ads and graffitti on a billboard reminiscent of the one in "The Great Gatsby."

HINT: Duke Ellington's "Mood Indigo" is spelled out among the working and non-working neon sign of Moody's Fine Dining To Go.
